Course Details
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course consists of five adventure dives completed over one weekend including peak performance buoyancy, navigation and a deep dive (to maximum of 30 metres) plus two more adventure dives: boat diving and an introduction to Rescue skills. The course includes your PADI eLearning, three shore dives, two boat dives, transportation (if required) and your PADI Advanced Open Water Certification.
- Theory: Complete your eLearning at home before Day 1.
- Day 1: 8am to 5pm. Course Introduction at Dive Centre Bondi. Three shore dives at one of our sheltered dive sites covering the Navigation, Peak Performance Buoyancy and Intro to Rescue dive.
- Day 2: 8am to 4pm (times are approximate). We complete two boat dives including the Deep Diving components of the course.
After successful completion of your training dives you will become a certified PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and be able to dive to a maximum of 30 metres!

Equipment
All equipment is included in the course cost with the exception of mask, snorkel, boots, fins and safety equipment. Safety equipment includes a surface marker buoy (SMB) & spool, and a cutting tool or dive knife. These are personal items and for comfort, hygiene and safety reasons we find students prefer to have their own. Our professional staff can help you to find equipment that fits properly and suits your requirements. Alternatively, all of these items can be rented for $50 for the whole course ($25 for mask, snorkel, boots & fins, $25 for knife, SMB & spool).

Prerequisites
- The minimum age to participate is 12 years old (a parent's or guardian's consent is required for participants under 18 years old.)
- Be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver, or hold an equivalent certification from another recognised certification agency.
- You must be cleared as medically fit to dive by completing a Medical Statement prior to your course starting. If any questions are flagged as "Yes" you need to gain medical clearance from a doctor. Please ensure you complete this Medical Statement before the start of your course.
